Auto Repair
Before signing an auto repair contract, be sure the contract states exactly what will be corrected and the cost of the repair. Make sure the contract states the date a vehicle repair will be completed, any storage fees, what the company's refund or exchange policy is, and the company's restocking policy.

The repair bill should list the charges for parts and labor separately. You have a right to inspect all replaced parts, and any auto repair facility must offer to return all replacement parts except those under warranty, trade-in or core parts.

If a consumer elects to take a vehicle to another repair facility to redo work that was done, they cannot expect to be guaranteed a refund from the business that did the original work.
